PROPERTIES OF QUARTZ CRYSTAL STRUCTURES

How a crystal grows is significant in esoteric crystal lore. Quartz crystals that are cloudy at the base and become clearer as they reach the tip represent the potential for spiritual growth. A crystal pillar or large point with flaws or occlusions* can point to a traumatic or wounding period in life. The dross has to be cleared in order for consciousness to evolve. Quartz crystals that are totally clear are symbols of alignment with cosmic harmony. Keeping one of these crystals with you aligns your energies to the spiritual realm.

If your crystal has rainbows in it, it is a sign of joy and happiness. Rainbows are caused by thin fractures within the stone. A rainbow crystal can be used to alleviate depression.

Enhydros are crystals that contain bubbles of liquid that is millions of years old. They are a symbol of the collective unconscious that underlies and unites everything.

Each crystal shape has a specific use, learn how different crystals, used wisely, can make excellent healing tools. The following structures of clear quartz possess additional properties which are unique.

POINT

Many crystals have points, some large and some so small they can  hardly be seen with the naked eye. Points may be natural or artificially shaped. A single crystal point has a definite faceted, pointed end and the other end tends to look ragged where it has been separated from a cluster base. A single crystal point is often used in healing. Pointed away from the body, it draws energy off. Pointed inward, it channels energy to the body.

DOUBLE TERMINATION

Some are natural and others artificially shaped. Double-terminated crystals have definite points at both ends, and are multi-functional; energy moves outward in either direction or in both directions concurrently. A double termination radiates or absorbs energy at both ends simultaneously, channelling it in two directions at once. A stone of balance, a double termination integrates spirit and matter and can provide a bridge between two energy points.

"Doubles" are excellent for astral projection and for dreaming - place them under your pillow at night and they can increase and intensify the dream state. They are also excellent for use in meditation. Placed on the third eye*, double terminations can enhance telepathy.
They can also be used to assist in providing one protection from mental and physical harm. Carrying a double terminated crystal can enable one to maintain ones energy shield. They symbolize patience and perseverance; this is quite important during healing situations. These crystals are useful in healing as they absorb negative energy and break old patterns, which can assist in overcoming addictions. They can also be used to integrate previously blocked parts of the self.

LASER WAND CRYSTALS

This crystal focuses energy in a straight line. It is often mimicked in purpose-made crystal wands. It is used extensively in healing or ritual work. It will rapidly transmit energy if pointed toward the body, or draw it off if turned away. The laser wand crystal is recognized as a long slender crystal with small faces comprising the termination. The crystal tapers inversely [i.e., from the base to the termination]. The angles of the sides of the crystal are curved, in many instances, rather than straight.

These crystals have an intimate relationship with both inner and outer space. The use of laser wands during meditation facilitates the establishment of a finer communication with the other worlds, the crystalline world, and the inner world of the self. These crystals radiate a lovely energy and have been recognized as a constant source of the brilliant white light. When one holds a laser wand, the energy tends to surround the body, providing for a protective barrier.

The laser wands often have unique etchings and/or markings upon them. They were once used in the healing temples of Lemuria, the markings indicating the records of experiences "they have seen". They contain information with respect to the healing methodology which has been proven successful over eons of time and throughout the universe. They have been accessed during the meditative state and have provided information concerning techniques utilized in Lemuria and on other planets.

The energy of the laser wand crystal is extremely well focused via the small termination. It can be used to clear an area of negativity, to create protective barriers, and to beam healing energy to the self or another. It facilitates a magical portrayal, allowing one to step into a picture, becoming a painted figure within the composition - a figure that has never, and will never, move.

In advanced healing practices, the laser wands can be used to perform psychic surgery. The wand assists in "surgically" removing attitudes, feelings, and attachments which may be causing or may potentially cause dis-ease. It should be noted that unless a person is willing to release the thought patterns, concepts, and self-constricting emotional patterns or ties, and to identify with a more positive self-image, the patterns will, most likely, return and the person will be required to learn further lessons. It allows one to recognize the perfection and beauty within the self and to manifest the totality externally.

 CLUSTER

A cluster has many points bedded, but not necessarily fixed, into a base. The crystals may be small or large. Clusters radiate energy out to the surrounding environment and can also absorb detrimental energy. They can be programmed and left in place to do their work. They are especially useful 'for cleansing a room or other crystals, in which case the crystal should be left overnight on the cluster.

A       ABUNDANCE     

An abundance crystal consists of one long Quartz crystal with many small crystals clustered around its base. Its function is to attract wealth and abundance into your life. It is best positioned in the wealth corner of a house or business—the point at the farthest rear left of the front door.

GEODE

A geode is contained within an outer form. When opened, it is hollow with many crystals pointing inward. Geodes hold and amplify energy within themselves. Due to their rounded, cavelike shape and numerous terminations, they diffuse the amplified energy, softening the energy but not neutralizing it, allowing it to flow out slowly if required. They are useful for protection and aid spiritual growth. Geodes assist in breaking addictions and are beneficial for an addictive or overindulgent personality.

BALL(Sphere)

Balls are usually shaped from a larger piece of crystal and may well have planes or flaws within them. They emit energy in all directions equally. Used as a window to the past or future, they move energy through time and provide a glimpse of what is to come or what has been, a practice called scrying*.

EGG

Egg-shaped crystals confine and shape energy and can be used to detect and rebalance blockages in the body. The more pointed end is a useful reflexology or acupressure tool. They make excellent "hand comforters" to use in times of stress.

OCCLUSION

An occlusion is usually formed from a deposit of another mineral within a Quartz crystal It is a cloudy spot or patch depending on the mineral. Minerals may also be deposited on an external face and show through when viewed from the other side. An occlusion radiates the energy of the mineral, focused and amplified by the Quartz surrounding it.

TRANSMITTER CRYSTALS

Transmitter crystals are recognized by a configuration of two symmetrical seven-sided faces with a perfect triangular face located between them. The "seven" of the two crystal faces represents the ability to activate precise control of the physical senses and desires in order to attain wisdom via strengthening the connection to the higher self. The three represents creativity in the attainment of unity.

The combination seven-three-seven indicates personal improvement, creativity, and manifestation via the creative forces, held in balance and precision by the direct connection to the higher self coupled with the attributes of both rectitude and analytical capability. The combination of the two seven-sided faces brings the qualities of ease, in change and in progress, together with variety in the experience of higher knowledge. The total combination blends the higher self with the individual physical and mental consciousness, assisting one in the application of universal knowledge and wisdom in all aspects of ones life; hence, bringing benefits to the realm of service to humanity.

Through the use of these crystals, one can connect to the highest wisdom and can receive specific information to specific circumstances or can receive the universal truth necessary for ones growth to enlightenment.

Transmitters can be used:
~       to both connect and align ones mind with the higher self in order to further ones
own spiritual development;

~       to consciously arrange for communication with spiritual guides or master teachers
from the other side;

~       to develop ones intuitive faculties and telepathic communication;

~       to act as a "telephone" to send messages to, and to receive messages from, another
Earth being [in this case, the transmitter is automatically emptied of the thought
form when the transmission has been received by the appropriate person];

~       to send thoughts [as energy] toward the   well-being of another and the well-being
of the planet.

CHANNELLING CRYSTALS

The channelling crystal is recognized by the configuration of a large seven-sided face, located in the centre front position of the terminated end of the crystal; a triangular face is located on the opposite [backside] side of the crystal.

The "seven" of the one crystal face represents precision within the intuitive realm of the higher mind and the analytical understanding inherent in the mental and physical bodies. It is symbolic of the student, the professor, the mystic, and the seeker of wisdom. The three-sided triangle on the opposing side provides for creative and innovative verbalization of inner truths. The "three" represents the both prerogative and the power of speech and the ability to both creatively and joyously express the self.

In this configuration, the "seven" represents the accessibility of innate wisdom and the "three" represents the ability of manifestation and verbal communication. The combination represents initiative and the interdependence between the world of the physical self and the perfection of "All That Is".

The channelling crystal provides for a means of channelling and expressing truth and wisdom from the both the inner realms of perfection and the other worlds. It provides for a conscious connection to the higher wisdom which is available from the higher self and/or to the wisdom of experience and enlightenment which is available from the "other side".

The channelling crystals can be used to access the wisdom from "within and without". They can be used to bring forth light and love from the most truthful and knowledgeable portions of the self. Sometimes there can be an encounter with other entities from whom one can learn; always check the information, given by the entity, with the personal inner knowing.

Channelling crystals can be used:
~       for meditation, allowing one to gain both inner clarity and wisdom;
~       to facilitate specific answers to specific questions;
~       to gain information in a specific area;
~       with record keepers to access stored information.

GENERATOR CRYSTALS

The generator crystal is recognized by a configuration of six crystal faces joining together to form the terminated apex. This crystal is "THE" quartz crystal for energy generation. A generator crystal optimizes healing energy. It aids focus and clarity of intention.

It is quite useful for energy magnification and for stimulating all portions of the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and subtle bodies. It has been used to cleanse the chakras, and to supplant any voids and/or any negative energies which are contained, with positive radiant white light. Excellent results are received when a small generator crystal is used as a pendulum.

The generator crystal has also been used to rectify localized energy disturbances. It acts to dissipate the disturbance and to replace any disorganized energy with a stable, authoritative energy which discourages further disorder.

Natural generators and crystals polished in the configuration of generators have the same properties - they are truly powerful tools for the metaphysician.

A generator cluster is very large with many long points, each of which can be programmed for a specific purpose. A generator cluster brings a group together in peaceful harmony—each person can have a point programmed specifically for them. It is extremely useful for generating healing energy and is often placed in the center of a healing group.

RECORD KEEPER CRYSTALS

The record keeper crystal is recognized by a raised [or several raised] perfect triangle[s] located on one or more of the crystal faces.

The record keeper is a crystal within which wisdom is stored. When one properly attunes to this crystal, the ancient knowledge and profound secrets of the universe can be psychically retrieved. These crystals have been consciously and purposely programmed by the beings who created the energies which have culminated in the actualization of life on this plane, and by their direct descendants [e.g., the Atlanteans and Lemurians].

Only those with open minds and pure hearts can access the information via attunement of the consciousness with the inner energies of the crystal. The information provided by the record keeper enhances ones light, provides for a deeper access to personal wisdom, and promotes a greater peace to be used in this world.

The purposes of accessing information from the record keeper are:
~       to provide one with information concerning the origin of the human race, the
human soul, and all that exists or has existed in ones reality;
~       to facilitate the actualization of each person as a healing agent for humanity and
the environment;
~       to allow one to incorporate higher knowledge, wisdom, peace, and love into this
and other planets.

The "three" of the triangle[s] located upon the face[s] of the crystal represents perfect balance achieved when the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of ones being is aligned with the love and purity of the highest spirituality. The triangular shape, of the "doors" which lead to the records, also symbolizes the third-eye, the creation, and the preservation of the state of perfection which serves as a pathway toward the enlightened state.

The information stored within the record keeper could be relevant or non-relevant to physical life on Earth. One must be open and willing to accept all information [even those concepts which one would judge as inconceivable] and must be capable [as we all are] of processing the information and applying it to this physical life.

The record keeper crystal is usually a personal meditation crystal. If one is meant to experience a record keeper, the universe will provide. The record keeper which "comes" to you contains the information which will be beneficial to your personal development and/or will provide information which will assist you in helping another.

WINDOW CRYSTALS

The window crystal is recognized by the presence of a large diamond-shaped "window" located in the centre front of the crystal, such that the top point of the diamond connects with the line leading directly to the termination, the side points connect with angles forming the opposing faces, and the bottom point connects with a line leading to the base of the crystal.

The four sides of the diamond on the window crystal represent the transmission of information between the various realms of intellectual activity, allowing for both the understanding and the acceptance of the conundrums of this physical reality. The four sides also represent the practical side of ones nature and the impetus to continue with the quest for spirituality in ones lifework. The diamond shape represents the balance between, and the syntheses of, the spiritual and physical realms; it further exemplifies the clarity of the mind, a force which maintains itself as the perfect state, never wavering, always reliable, and sometimes manifested.

These crystals are powerful teachers. They are like open windows through which one can see beyond illusionary identities and into the essence of the self. They may often allow one to become aware of the insecurities which inhibit the expression of the perfect self. The crystals allow for the reflection of ones self-image and the associated perfections or imperfections of the user. They can also be used, with consent, to reflect the state of another. They are quite useful in determining the cause of dis-ease.

Window crystals will come to a person when he/she is willing to honestly look within the self and to accept the truth.

These crystals may also be used to read the aura of another person by placing the window toward the person and then turning it toward your third-eye. And assist one in defining the life purpose of the self or another person by facilitating the "seeing" of the interims between lifetimes when decisions were made with respect to which experiences were necessary to fulfil the destiny of ,that individual.

When working with others, it is extremely important to clear the mind and center the self so that you do not cloud the issues and answers with personal judgments and beliefs. Clarity of the mind is necessary to ensure total reproduction of the message without any subtle self-held interferences.

Window crystals have also been used to locate "missing persons" and lost items by projecting a clear image of the person or item into the crystal and then accepting the subsequent information.

ELESTIAL CRYSTALS

An elestial has many natural terminations and folds over a multilayered face of an etched crystal. It has a gently flowing energy that removes blockages and fear, balancing the polarities and opening the way to necessary change. The energy of the elestial is intensified at the locations of the energy vortices of the Earth and can be of great assistance in the mass cleansing, healing, and re-awakening of the consciousness of the planet.
Sustaining and comforting, it is helpful in overcoming emotional burdens and in connecting to the eternal self, and to help one to look within and to find the love that has always been there. They stimulate the actualization of the conscious self, allowing for percipient recall of astute action, while exhibiting a continuous alignment with the spiritual realm and assisting one in access of same. It can also be used to assist one in access to information relevant to the karmic burdens incurred during past-lives, helping one to both recognize and understand the "easy" lessons which can cancel the karma. It can further be used to access future lives and to understand that which must be accomplished in this life in order to eliminate the need to repeat harsh lessons. It is the "enchanted crystal", bringing with it the concepts of Shiva and the understanding that after transition from one phase of life or from the physical body, the newness will be re-instilled. It provides the user with "a hug from the wind in the willow", allowing for flow in change and actualization.

The elestial carries the inherent memory of that which was in existence prior to the development of humanity. It can be used to help one to become aware of the immortality of the spiritual being within the self and to enhance ones life on this plane of reality. It further assists one in the comprehension of the processes of life and the levels of death. The elestial contains the absolute and ultimate essential wisdom and can provide for transfer of this insight to the physical intellect via the higher self.

The elestial can be used to both sustain and "maintain" one during changes, helping to prepare one for transformation and allowing for the penetration of the hidden layers of "cause" which support the states of distress and dis-ease. It further assists one in releasing the cause; hence, decreasing or eliminating the effect. It helps one to understand that any control is personal control and that in order to actualize ones full potential, the state of personal action is required. It assists one in the recognition of the way one actually feels, both emotionally and physically; hence, helping to stimulate the power of personal expression and personal potential.

The elestial can be used to stabilize brain wave frequencies and to ameliorate erratic and/or confused thoughts; it can further assist in producing an expanded state of awareness and an encouraging energy to speed one toward the light. It assists one in summoning vitality in order to produce advancement toward the eternal brilliance of the spiritual self. The elestial can be used to stimulate the chakras and to bring forth information which has been blocked; it can help to release the blockages and to provide an unobstructed pathway leading toward the retrieval of indispensable information relevant to the state of ones being [past, present, and future]. It will subsequently assist in the removal and dissipation of any confusion and pre-judgmental ideas so that one may maintain a dispassionate, impartial, and composed attitude in order to acknowledge and assimilate the information.

The elestial has been used in medicine wheel ceremonies to reach the ancestral spirits and to provide the channel for the integral knowledge regarding the questions of the participants. It provides for both receipt and dissemination of information, dependent upon the consciousness and loving state of the user. It assists one in the art of communication and in verbalization of the state of the emotions at the time the state occurs.

The elestial can assist in activating and furthering the activities of the third-eye and can stimulate an increase in abilities associated with clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience. The elestial has also been used in the treatment of epilepsy, schizophrenia, and drug-related burn-out. It can assist in the restoration of emotional and intellectual stability. It can further be used to diminish vertigo and symptoms associated with physical imbalances within the body.

BARNACLE CRYSTALS

Barnacle crystals are recognized as crystals covered or partially covered with smaller crystals. The larger crystal is the "old soul" and contains the wisdom and trust which attracts the smaller crystals.

This crystal can be used in meditation to provide insights to family and/or community problems. The barnacle crystal is also excellent for those employed by service organizations [e.g., teachers, etc.]; the energy helps to stimulate a group cohesiveness and a willingness to work together. The crystal is a wonderful companion when one is experiencing the loss of a loved one. It can also be used to increase both physical and intellectual fertility.

MANIFESTATION CRYSTAL

Manifestation crystals are quite rare and precious things. One or more small crystals are totally enclosed by a larger crystal. When you are absolutely clear as to what you want to manifest, this crystal will aid you, especially if it is carefully programmed. If you have any ambivalence or confusion over what you want, or are asking for purely selfish reasons, the crystal cannot work. The manifestation crystal can also be used to stimulate creativity and original thought, promote visualization, and invoke planetary healing. It is an excellent crystal for group work and functions to its highest purpose when programmed for the good of all.

The use of the manifestation crystal requires the inner knowledge that one is a clear and perfect channel, that a pure white light provides the guiding way, and that the purity of the Divine is within the inner self.

If there is something which one wishes to manifest, the relevant questions are: "Do I really want this?" - "Are there reasons that I may not want this?" If parts of a person do/do not want something, the crystal will not facilitate manifestation because it is receiving mixed messages. One must clear any feelings of ambivalence and inner turmoil prior to using this crystal.

These crystals can also be used to facilitate artistic creativity, creative thinking, agricultural pursuits, and to increase or decrease [dependent upon the direction of the energy] any aspect of ones life.

TABULAR "TABBY" CRYSTAL

The "tabby" crystal is recognized as a flat crystal with "notches" on one or both of the flat sides. Rubbing the fingernail in an "downward" motion across the notches [major striations] of the "tabby" produces an "opening" of the crystal. This opening is similar to opening a file drawer; one can then access the information which the "tabby" contains. Closure of the "file drawer" is attained by rubbing the fingernail in an "upward" motion across the notches of the crystal.

In addition, this crystal is used to activate other crystals and minerals; one way to accomplish this is to hold the "tabby" in the "hand of preference" and to rub the tabby across the notches [in a downward motion], while holding the other stone in the other hand.

Energy flows freely through a tabular crystal, which offers little resistance. It removes confusion, misinterpretation, and misunderstanding and is an excellent aid to communication at all levels, both inner and outer. It is said that a tabular crystal is the finest tool for communication with other realms.

In healing, a tabular crystal links two points, bringing about perfect balance, and they can be used to enhance telepathy.

KEY CRYSTAL

The key crystal is recognized, usually, by a three-sided or six-sided indented shape located on the crystal. The indent becomes narrower as it goes within the crystal and ends within the crystal, usually in an apex termination. It is used to unlock the "doors" to healing concepts and to those aspects of the self which tend to be illusive. It further helps one to answer questions like - why can't I...?   It also assists one in accessing that which is hidden in any situation. One can place the crystal on letters, photographs, etc., in order to gain admittance to concealed or obscure messages which are inherent. It can be used to assist in analytical problem-solving; placing the crystal upon a textbook, which contains the information necessary to arrive at a solution, has stimulated the inner knowledge of the answer.

SCEPTRE CRYSTAL

The sceptre crystal is recognized as a naturally formed crystal which, at the base, is penetrated by a rod; in actuality, the crystal formed around the rod.

These crystals were used in Atlantis and Lemuria in healing ceremonies and were a symbol of the power of the realm; those who carried or wore a sceptre crystal were in the position of "high priest/priestess".

The sceptre crystal brings the spirituality of the higher planes into the healing ceremonies and focuses the energy deep within the "heart" of the matter; i.e., the energy is directed to the "heart" of the cell, to the "heart" of the disability, to the "heart" of the subtle bodies, and most importantly, to the "heart" of the energy center of the etheric body, where re-structuring of the physical, mental, or emotional disorders can occur.

SINGING CRYSTALS

Singing crystals are similar in configuration to the laser wand configuration, albeit usually smaller. They have a clear sweet resonance when gently allowed to touch one another.

They are said to have been developed by thought projection during visitation from other planetary beings who were close to the Earth in space craft. They share a common sound and contain a solution to the obstacles of communication with respect to the sending and receiving of messages between the Earth plane and extra-terrestrial beings.

The singing crystal expresses the spectrum of sound and is compatible with the spectrum of light. It creates the very powerful, higher pitched "OM" vibration, bringing about the creative forces. The body can attune to this spectrum and can emanate the energy and reality of the higher self.

They further help to bring joy to ones life and to encourage one to move to the rhythm of ones own "drum". In addition, they can be used to open and to release energy blockages, to align the energies of the body, to smooth the aura, and to stimulate clairaudience. Singing crystals combine the healing vibrations of Mother Earth with the energy of the stars. They are quite useful in "toning for health" and tend to promote "rearrangement to perfection" of the cellular structures. They have also been used in the treatment of disorders of the ears and to stimulate the correction of hearing deficiencies.

SHEET QUARTZ [Also Known as Lens Quartz]

Sheet quartz occurs in the formation of flat and, relatively clear, quartz layers. It has been used as a window to other dimensions, to access information from the astral plane and the akashic records, and to see within the inner self. The action of looking within the self with the sheet quartz has allowed one to recognize disordered states and to mentally rearrange and reorganize the disarray of dis-ease. Sheet quartz has also been used for "gazing" and for sending and receiving messages.

It can stimulate the heart chakra and the third-eye and is an excellent tool for communication between the self and other worlds. It can also be used to stimulate visualization and visionary experiences and to actuate the higher psychic abilities. It has been used in the treatment of disorders of, and for pain in, the area of the heart.

SELF-HEALED CRYSTAL

The self-healed crystal is, usually, recognized by small [usually less in size than the main termination] crystalline structures at the location where the crystal was removed from its matrix or home. The self-healed crystal is one which was separated from a secure base or was damaged during growth, but continued to reach the inherent natural state of perfection by forming smaller terminated faces. These faces together appear like a lace-type design of finished edges.

Another type of self-healed crystal is one which has been broken [exhibiting the break in the horizontal plane or close to the horizontal strata], with the break being healed and the crystal structure being again complete.

The self-healed crystal, having learned to heal itself, can lend this knowledge to the user and can share the experience of self-healing. One may use the crystal for healing of the self or in "crystal healing" of another person. One method of utilization of this crystal is to place the self-healed crystal in the hands of the subject, or on an area of the body of the subject, in order to send to the subject the knowledge of the art of self-healing.

This crystal takes situations, which appear to be devastating, and helps them to fulfill themselves - utilizing the law of the perfect order of the universe and the creativity of natural completion.

BRIDGE CRYSTAL

The bridge crystal is recognized by a small crystal which penetrates and is located partially in, and partially out, of a larger crystal.

It facilitates bridging between the inner and outer worlds, between the self and others residing on this planet. The crystal aids in expressing that which one experiences when one is becoming more familiar with the self. It is quite beneficial when one is working with the aspects of spirituality, and with the advanced metaphysical areas, and attempting to share this knowledge with others. It is also beneficial to public speakers who lecture on topics concerning new ideas and avantgarde concepts. The bridge crystal is also useful for all types of teaching, promoting communication ties and understanding between
teacher and student.

TWIN (TANTRIC) CRYSTAL

The twin crystal is recognized as a growing-together of two or more individual crystals such that certain portions of each crystal are in parallel alignment and other portions of each crystal are in reverse positions with respect to each other.

It facilitates the building of relationships on all levels, acting to encourage encounters with the soul-mate[s] present during this lifetime. It helps one to create a balance such that the outer manifestation and the inner being are not in opposition and are manifested as movements of the same energy flow. The crystal promotes the recognition that love gives freedom, bringing the relative synthesis of love and freedom to the level of understanding which is inherent within the spiritual plane.

The twin crystal is also useful for melding the consciousness of groups and for promotion of universal love.

PHANTOM CRYSTAL

The phantom crystal is recognized by a "phantom" crystal within the crystal. The phantom is comprised of a white or coloured mineral and may be partial or complete. The phantoms within a crystal provide an indication of the experiences, and the transformations, which the crystal has encountered during its evolution. The phantom crystal has experienced numerous lifetimes, of learning and "being", while continuing in the same physical configuration; the crystal represents the many phases and the many types of life which may be experienced during ones lifetime.

The crystal symbolizes universal awareness. It is one of the Earth stones to be used for redemption and cleansing of the Earth. The energy of the phantom works to bring together the participants of humanity to save the planet.
